Glam Eyes

Okay, so my favorite part of my makeup routine are the eyes, especially mascara.  I own several tubes that I dabble in on different days - never hurts to mix it up, right?  I decided I would put the spotlight on my two favorite mascaras and a great eyeshadow primer.  I know many girls swear by the pricy brands, but I've discovered that the cheapies are just as good (which means we can have that much more!)

My favorite go-to mascara is the Maybelline Falsies Flared  - the one with the wings on it.  I've tried several different formulas from the Falsies line and this one is the best.  The wand is nice and fluffy and easy to use.  I find that when I apply my mascara from both the underside of my lashes and on top, I get the ultra glam look that I want.  It does flake a little bit when applying.. but I still love it.  It can be purchased at Target, Walmart or Walgreens for around $6.

My other favorite mascara is Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black.  This mascara is fabulous.. but it does tend to leave lash marks on my eyelid after long wear, and little flecks often appear on my cheeks throughout the day.. but I love the way it goes on and how big it makes my lashes.  It has a straight fluffy wand which really separates the lashes perfectly.  If you head out to find this one, be sure to real the labels because several Loreal mascaras come in the black/gold tubes. It can be purchased at Target, Walmart or Walgreens for around $6.

Have beautiful bold colors in your eyeshadow palettes, but they don't look that great when you put it on?  Palladio Herbal Eyeshadow Primer is the way to go.  It comes in a little tube similar to lip gloss.  Swipe the contents across each eyelid and rub it in gently before you apply your shadow.  The primer helps keep colors bold and prevent drying/cracking throughout long wear.  It can be purchased at Sally Beauty Supply for around $5.  What a steal compared to Urban Decay's primer which is closer to $20 a tube.

Lots of love.
